You can search through Encyclo's collected database, or you can browse via topic. If you're looking for a term and know what general topic area it falls under, browsing via topic usually gives much better results, as Encyclo's topic pages list great links to niche glossaries and guides that would otherwise be very difficult to find.
You can also add Encyclo to your search bar in IE 7, which is especially handy and gives easy access to search capability.
The Encyclo search engine uses hundreds of web sites with their own specialty wordlists to make searching for terms and definitions easier than ever. By using a multitude of different sources, you are brought straight to the correct definition you're looking for in the context needed.
Language and Spelling
Although Encyclo's emphasis is on British English spelling and definitions, American lists may be included in order to increase search capabilities when the topic lacks a complete definition list in British English.
The Search Functionality
The search engine lets you see the first few lines of a definition to help point you in the right direction. You can search an individual word for its meaning or look through the sources listed for more definitions and other categories that may contain the word.
